The location of this superb 4 star Venice hotel deep in the very
heart of the old town is a truly enviable one, close to all the
major attractions that the floating city has to offer, the panoramas
from the hotel 3rd floor terrace bar/restaurant are simply breathtaking.
The square of St Mark's is only 400 metres walk from the entrance
of the hotel and right next door is the church of Santa
Maria della Pieta. Vivaldi
played many of his concertos in this church and was also the resident
priest for sometime.
The Hotel Locanda Vivaldi was in fact the residence of the famous
composer, Antonio Vivaldi. Steeped in local history and elegantly
decorated in a tradition of Venetian style, the character and elegance
of this 4 star hotel will make a huge difference to your stay in
The Arsenale is also
very near - about 500 metres away. The famous Rialto
Bridge is a 15-minute walk and the Bridge of sighs is about 300
metres away on the same waterfront. If you are travelling by car
you will need to leave your car in one of the Parking terminals
at Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto.
The nearest stop to the hotel is San Zaccaria
on the Vaporetto (water bus). If you arrive
by train then you will arrive at Santa Lucia railway station and
then need to take the waterbus. If you are flying in to Marco Polo
Airport you can take a water taxi to the hotel or the Alilaguna
hydrofoil to St Mark's Square.
If it’s the first time you have ever been to Venice the
beauty of its canals and waterways will blow you away. For those
who are used to everyday conventional traffic like cars and buses,
Venice will create an entirely new experience where Gondolas, water
taxis and waterbuses will ferry you all over the city. The hotel
has its own private marina so you can hop out of a water taxi and
straight back to your room.
