Is it possible to have a bottle of champagne waiting in the room?
You may arrange a bottle of Italian Champagne – better known as Spumante.

Where is the nearest place to park?
Visitors who come to Venice by car have to park at one of the city car parks on the outskirts – Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto. From here Waterbuses run along the Grand Canal. Get off at San Stae for the Hotel Cassiano. See our Location page for details.

Can we organise tours through the Hotel San Cassiano?
Certainly, we can organise city tours, tours of the Murano Glass Factory and even the region of Veneto.

Can we bring pets?
Small pets, including children, are welcome.

Can you provide a crib?
Yes we can, free of charge.

Is the Hotel San Cassiano air-conditioned?
Yes it is.

Do you have disabled access?
Unfortunately not – the building is from the 14th century so there is no lift.

Who was Giacomo Favretto?
Giacomo Favretto was a great Venetian artist in the late 19th century. He lived in this very property, which became a hotel in 1951, 64 years after his death. In his formative years he studied at the Accademia delle Belle Arti nearby before going to Paris to refine his talents. He is best known for masterpieces such as Lesson in Anatomy and The Jealous Wife.

What time is check-in and check-out?
We like to do check-in after 2pm and kindly request you vacate the room by midday when you come to leave. Times are flexible whenever possible but please let us know in advance if you expect to arrive at an unsociable hour.

What if we have to cancel?
Reservations may be cancelled up to 48 hours before hand at no cost. If you don’t show up or cancel late we reserve the right to charge you for the first night. If you have any queries about your legal standing visit the Venice Tourist Authority.

Is the hotel easy to reach?
Yes, our choice location by the Grand Canal and opposite the Ca’ d’Oro makes us very easy to find.
